WHAT IF I AM NEW TO FITNESS?
Then WELCOME! I'm so glad you're here. I think you will find so many amazing benefits to moving your body in a way that feels good. No experience is needed to be successful and additional support is provided at any time if you're ever feeling a bit lost.
DO I HAVE TO COMMIT TO A CONTRACT?
No, never. The membership can be canceled at any time. However, change takes time and if you truly wish to invest in your health, I always encourage clients to follow through with a minimum of 6 months.
DO I NEED ACCESS TO A GYM AND/OR GYM EQUIPMENT?
Absolutely not! Come as you are, with whatever you've got and we will make it work for you!! However, if you have a gym membership and want your program to include gym equipment then I've got you!
WHAT TYPES OF WORKOUTS CAN I EXPECT?
This is very different for everyone! If you have questions about what workouts would look like for you, reach out to me and we can chat more about what might work best for you.
WHAT IS "TRAUMA-INFORMED"?
Trauma-informed is simply a lens with which we can view the world. By recognizing that everyone has experienced their own hurdles in life, unique from any other, we can begin to appreciate the need for a person-centered approach where YOU are the expert and I'm simply here to provide the coaching and resources to help you thrive.Â
Also very important - you do not have to identify as someone with trauma to benefit from a trauma-informed approach. Think of it as an added layer that may or may not enhance your experience but definitely WILL NOT limit your success.
IS THIS THERAPY?
No, this is definitely not therapy. While many people find exercise to be therapeutic (myself included), these services do not include any type of trauma counseling or therapy of any sort. Hopefully one day I can offer these services along with coaching, but for now, I highly recommend that you work simultaneously with a mental health provider if you are looking for that type of support. If you wish to experience more holistic treatment, I'm more than happy to chat about how we can either integrate clinical recommendations from your provider or connect with you and your provider to brainstorm together.
